About the CXC V2

The Cambridge Audio CXC V2 is a high-performance CD transport from the CX Series 2, finished in Lunar Grey. It employs a proprietary S3 servo drive originally developed for the high-end 851C CD player, offering class-leading jitter rejection and error correction for accurate CD data recovery. Lacking an internal DAC, it outputs pristine digital signals via S/PDIF coaxial and TOSLINK optical to external DACs or amplifiers like the CXA61 or CXA81. Key features include an all-metal chassis to minimize vibration, toroidal transformer for low-noise power, gapless playback, and C-BUS for multi-room control. It supports CD, CD-R, and CD-RW playback, with a floating design and included remote control.
