The California Audio Technology MBX 12" Subwoofers are high-end in-wall subwoofers designed for audiophile and custom home theater applications. Each unit includes a 12" aluminum woofer with a long throw vented magnet system and a 2" voice coil, delivering deep and precise bass down to 19Hz (+/- 1.5 dB). The subwoofer requires a minimum amplifier power of 250 watts, with no upper limit, and has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms. The system is designed to be installed in-wall with a dedicated enclosure measuring 14 1/4" wide, 88" high, and 5 1/2" deep, while the driver baffle measures 13 1/2" square. The subwoofer is intended to be covered by acoustical room material rather than a traditional speaker grill. These units are brand new and come individually packaged with the driver baffle and in-wall enclosure shipped separately.
