About the Bailey

The Cain & Cain Bailey is a self-powered subwoofer designed primarily to complement the Cain & Cain Abby single-driver loudspeaker. It uses a 10-inch SEAS aluminum-cone woofer and 300-watt solid-state amplifier, with adjustable controls for integrating its bass output with the main speakers. The Bailey is intended to add articulate, musical low-frequency weight and greater dynamic headroom rather than extreme sub-bass output or maximum sound-pressure levels. It may be connected in parallel with the main speakers, allowing the primary amplifier and loudspeakers to retain their characteristic sound while the Bailey supplies powered bass reinforcement.
