About the BP-26 DA

The Bryston BP-26 with DAC preamplifier offers exceptional clarity and accuracy in capturing musical nuances with very low noise and distortion. It features fully discrete Class A analog circuitry, steel cabinet shielding to reduce EMI, and gold-plated switches, contacts, and connectors for optimal signal integrity. The unit includes 2 balanced XLR inputs, 5 single-ended RCA inputs (with 2 replaced by SPDIF digital inputs for the DAC version), XLR and RCA outputs, and a tape loop. It requires an outboard MPS-2 or PS-3 power supply. The internal DAC supports sample rates from 16kHz to 108kHz and word lengths of 16 to 24 bits, with SPDIF digital input format. The BP-26 DA version has a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz ±0.1dB, THD less than 0.002%, and signal-to-noise ratio over 100dB. The preamplifier also includes a headphone jack, remote control capability, and options for silver or black faceplates and 17" or 19" widths.
