About the BP-17³

The Bryston BP-17³ Cubed Stereo Preamplifier is the first Bryston component to use the patented low distortion Salomie circuit at both input and output stages, developed with Dr. Ioan Alexandru Salomie. This technology significantly reduces noise and distortion to less than 0.001%, delivering breathtaking clarity and lifelike scale. It features fully discrete Class A analog circuitry, 5 single-ended (RCA) and 2 balanced (XLR) analog inputs, and multiple output options including configurable XLR outputs (variable or fixed) and fixed/variable RCA outputs. The preamp includes relay switching on all inputs, programmable home theater bypass, software control, and a balanced action volume control. It supports optional internal DAC and moving magnet phono stages. The chassis measures 17" W x 4.55" H x 13" D and weighs 11 lbs (5 kg). The BP-17³ is designed for superb reliability and class-leading sound quality, with independent power supplies for analog and digital circuits and extensive noise filtering to prevent interference from power line anomalies. It also offers extensive control options including RS-232, IR input, and trigger outputs, compatible with Bryston's BR2 or BR4 remote controls. The unit is not rack-mountable but offers optional rack ears and faceplate color options (silver or black).
