The Bryston BHA-1 is a compact yet powerful balanced headphone amplifier engineered to reveal the full potential of headphones with authoritative sound quality and impeccable clarity. It features six Class A, fully discrete operational amplifiers delivering up to 2 watts of power per channel, ensuring exceptional dynamic range and low distortion (<0.005% THD+N). The amplifier supports both balanced and single-ended headphone outputs, as well as rear-mounted XLR outputs for use as a high-quality analog preamplifier. It includes three stereo inputs: RCA, balanced XLR, and 3.5mm TRS, with switchable gain settings (14dB or 20dB) and a high-quality laser-trimmed Noble stereo volume control. The BHA-1 is fully convection cooled with no noisy fans, housed in a machined and anodized aluminum enclosure, and backed by Bryston's legendary 20-year warranty. It is compatible with a wide range of headphones, including high-impedance studio models and sensitive consumer headphones, providing a natural, lifelike presentation with superb transient response and resolution. Options include silver or black faceplates, 17" or 19" widths, rack mount ears, and locking mechanisms on balanced XLR connectors.
