About the BDA-1
The Bryston BDA-1 is a stereo digital-to-analog converter featuring dual Crystal CS-4398 DAC chips, a fully discrete Class-A analog output stage, and eight digital inputs: one USB, two optical TOSLINK, two coaxial S/PDIF (RCA), two BNC S/PDIF, and one AES/EBU. It supports up to 24-bit/192 kHz audio and offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs, plus an S/PDIF bypass output. An optional BR-2 remote control is available, and impedance-matching transformers are included to minimize jitter. The BDA-1 was Bryston's flagship standalone DAC during the first-generation digital player era.
