About the RöNt II
The RöNt II is a vacuum tube power supply specifically engineered for Brinkmann Audio's direct drive turntables such as Taurus, Oasis, and Bardo, as well as their belt drive models. It uses two high current low resistance PL36 pentode tubes and one 5AR4 full wave rectifier tube to deliver a stabilized output voltage of 24 to 25 VDC. The tube design isolates the AC mains from the turntable motor, acting as a high-class power line filter that significantly enhances sound clarity, openness, and spaciousness. The RöNt II features a single-ended class A topology for smooth and transparent performance. It is short circuit proof and designed for long tube life, with a tube lifetime exceeding 10,000 hours. The power supply consumes approximately 80 Watts and weighs about 12 kg with dimensions of 180 x 310 x 100 mm.
