The Brinkmann Nyquist Mk II DAC is a premium digital-to-analog converter designed for high-fidelity audio reproduction. It incorporates separate converters for PCM and DSD formats, ensuring optimal performance across different audio types. The DAC supports streaming services like Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, and Roon, making it versatile for modern music consumption. It features a remote control for convenience and includes a range of inputs such as USB 2.0, SPDIF, AES/EBU, TosLink, and RJ45 Ethernet. The Nyquist Mk II is capable of handling formats up to PCM 384 kHz (DXD), DSD 64, DSD 128 via DoP, and native DSD 256. It also includes a headphone output suitable for headphones with impedances between 30 and 600 ohms. The DAC uses NOS Telefunken tubes in its output stage, contributing to its warm and musical sound quality. The external power supply utilizes Brinkmann's proprietary high voltage technology, enhancing digital circuit performance by reducing jitter. The Nyquist Mk II is housed in a robust design with a granite base, weighing 12 kg for the DAC and another 12 kg for the base, with the power supply weighing 3.2 kg.
