About the M1 SE

The Bricasti Design M1 SE is a Special Edition dual-mono digital-to-analog converter based on the original M1, upgraded with Stillpoints isolation feet, point-to-point wiring, and enhanced power supply components for improved vibration control and lower noise. It uses Bricasti's twin-DAC dual-mono architecture with separate linear power supplies per channel, low-jitter DDS clocking, and proprietary digital filter voicings, and supports high-resolution PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD up to DSD256, via USB, AES/EBU, S/PDIF (RCA, BNC, Toslink), and optional Ethernet streaming. The M1 SE is housed in a handcrafted black and aluminum chassis and offers balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs, with adjustable output level on the balanced outputs. It is aimed at audiophiles and studio users seeking very high transparency, resolution, and stable imaging, and is still listed as a current Special Edition variant alongside newer M1 Series II models rather than being formally discontinued.
