About the B4000 Symphony No1
The Bozak B-4000 Symphony No1 is a top-level floor-type speaker system featuring a 3-way, 11-speaker design. It includes two 30 cm cone type woofers (B-199A) with felted paper cones mixed with wool for light weight and low distortion bass, a 20 cm cone type mid-range (B-800B), and eight 5 cm cone type tweeters (B-200Y) with a special metal diaphragm damping method for smooth playback. The enclosure has a symmetrical unit layout and a walnut oil finish. It supports multi-amplifier operation with a selector switch and terminals. The system covers a frequency range from 35 Hz to 20 kHz with an impedance of 8 ohms and a rated input of 60 watts. Crossover frequencies are set at 400 Hz and 2.5 kHz with a 6 dB/octave slope. The speaker measures 700 mm wide, 1100 mm high, and 400 mm deep, weighing 68 kg. It was originally priced around ¥227,900 in 1966 and is considered one of Bozak's best speakers, suitable for medium-sized rooms and compatible with both tube and solid-state amplifiers.
