About the HTM7

The Bowers & Wilkins HTM7 is designed as a center channel speaker for home theater systems, part of the esteemed 700 Series. It features a 2-way vented-box design with a 1-inch alloy dome tweeter and a 6.5-inch woven Kevlar cone bass/midrange driver, delivering a frequency response of 50Hz to 25kHz ±3dB and a wider frequency range of 46Hz to 50kHz (-6dB). The speaker is magnetically shielded to prevent interference with video equipment and has a cabinet designed to be wider and lower for optimal placement above or below a television. It has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms (minimum 4.6 ohms), sensitivity of 91dB SPL (2.83V, 1m), and power handling of 50 to 120 watts into 8 ohms on unclipped program. Dimensions are approximately 12.1" H x 17.7" W x 11.4" D (306 x 450 x 289 mm) and it weighs about 28 lbs (12.5 kg). The HTM7 is no longer in production but remains a highly regarded center channel speaker for its clarity, tonal accuracy, and integration with other 700 Series speakers.
