About the DM604 S3

The Bowers & Wilkins DM604 S3 is the only full 3-way system in the DM600 series, made in England between 2002 and 2007. It features a dedicated 180mm Kevlar cone midrange driver housed in an isolated chamber to deliver detailed midrange without bass interference. Bass is handled by twin 180mm aluminium cone drivers combined with Flowport technology for deep, dynamic bass response. The speaker has a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter mounted in a convergent tube for open and natural treble. It is a vented-box design with foam plugs to block ports if room acoustics cause excessive bass reinforcement. The DM604 S3 is suited for larger rooms and can reproduce everything from delicate solo performances to complex large ensembles with a warm, rich sound signature and strong bass. It requires a powerful amplifier (recommended 25-200W) to perform optimally. Dimensions are 994mm height, 236mm width, and 398mm depth, weighing 29.2 kg. Frequency response is 30Hz to 42kHz (-6dB), sensitivity 90dB SPL (2.83V/1m), and nominal impedance 8 ohms (minimum 3 ohms).
