The DB1D subwoofer is the most powerful active subwoofer Bowers & Wilkins has ever produced, equipped with a 2000 Watt Class D Hypex amplifier and two 300mm (12-inch) Aerofoil cone drive units arranged in a balanced, opposed configuration to minimize cabinet vibration and deliver precise, room-shaking bass. It features an all-new digital preamplifier with Dynamic EQ and app-based setup with Bluetooth Low Energy control, allowing easy calibration and optimization without the need for external microphones. The Aerofoil cones are derived from the 800 Series Diamond speakers, providing ultra-stiff, lightweight drivers that resist bending and flexing for outstanding bass precision. The DB1D covers a frequency range of 8.5Hz to 500Hz (-6dB) and a frequency response of 10Hz to 350Hz (-3dB), making it suitable for both music and home theater applications. The cabinet is available in gloss black, rosenut, and satin white finishes, weighing 43 kg with dimensions of 460mm height, 429mm width, and 410mm depth.
