About the CM9

The CM9 is a high-end three-way tower speaker from Bowers & Wilkins, designed for large rooms and demanding listeners. It features twin 165mm paper/Kevlar cone bass drivers for commanding bass, a 150mm woven Kevlar FST midrange driver with a compression surround for outstanding midrange performance, and a Nautilus tube-loaded 25mm aluminium dome tweeter that extends crisp, sharp high frequencies up to 50kHz and beyond. The cabinet is well braced and finished with real wood veneers, improving stiffness and aesthetics. The speaker has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms (dipping to 3 ohms), a sensitivity of 89dB, and is recommended to be driven by amplifiers from 30 to 200 watts. Dimensions are approximately 200mm wide, 1030mm high, and 300mm deep, with a weight of about 26.6kg (58.5 lbs). It is available in finishes such as Rosenut, Wenge, and Gloss Black. The CM9 is noted for its tonal neutrality, full but controlled bass, and refined treble integration, making it suitable for both music and home cinema applications.
