About the CM6 S2

The CM6 S2 is the top bookshelf speaker in Bowers & Wilkins' CM Series, featuring the distinctive 'tweeter-on-top' design borrowed from higher-end models. It uses a 1-inch Decoupled Double Dome aluminium tweeter mounted in a separate pod isolated by gel to reduce resonance, paired with a 6.5-inch woven Kevlar cone mid/bass driver. The speaker has a frequency response of 50Hz to 28kHz ±3dB, sensitivity of 88dB, and nominal impedance of 8 ohms (minimum 3.7 ohms). It is designed as a two-way vented-box system with a crossover frequency at 4kHz and recommended amplifier power between 30W and 120W. The cabinet measures 13.4 inches tall (15.9 inches including tweeter), 7.8 inches wide, and 11.2 inches deep (11.9 inches including grille and terminals), weighing 19.6 pounds. Available finishes include gloss black, satin white, and rosenut. The speaker supports bi-wiring and bi-amping with removable bridging and accepts spade, banana, and bare wire connectors. It is optimized for use with B&W stands that allow secure coupling and resonance control. The CM6 S2 offers precise imaging, spacious soundstage, and solid bass extension suitable for small to medium rooms.
