About the Nautilus 802
The B&W Nautilus 802 is a premium 3-way vented-box floorstanding loudspeaker featuring two 200 mm paper/Kevlar cone woofers, a 150 mm woven Kevlar FST midrange driver, and a 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter. It incorporates B&W's Tweeter on top technology for focused, time-sensitive sound and a precise stereo image. The cabinet uses a unique Matrix bracing system to reduce resonance and movement, and a Flowport™ firing downwards for enhanced bass dispersion. The enclosure is curved with real wood veneers available in Black Ash, Cherrywood, and Red Stained Cherrywood finishes. It weighs 70 kg and measures 1106 x 385 x 548 mm (H x W x D). The Nautilus 802 was highly acclaimed, winning multiple awards including the 1999-2000 EISA European High End Audio of the Year and the 1999 Hi-Fi Grand Prix Award in the USA. It was manufactured in England from 1998 until 2004 and is now discontinued.
