The Bowers & Wilkins ASW-855 is a flagship 15-inch powered subwoofer designed to complement the 800 series Nautilus and Diamond series speakers by providing deep, controlled bass extension. It features a massive 380mm (15 inch) long-throw driver with a Rohacell®/carbon fibre sandwich cone derived from the 801D model, ensuring piston-like movement across the subwoofer bandwidth and beyond. The subwoofer is powered by a 1000W Class-D amplifier capable of producing prodigious bass power with absolute control, suitable for large high-end audio projects. The cabinet is matrix-braced for rigidity and is available in multiple finishes including Black Ash, Cherrywood, and Red-Stained Cherrywood. It offers comprehensive controls for seamless integration into multi-channel or two-channel systems. The frequency response is adjustable with a range of 18Hz to 110Hz ±3dB, and the frequency range extends from 14Hz to 140Hz at -6dB. The subwoofer weighs approximately 45 kg (99 lbs) and measures 20.8 x 22.1 x 20.6 inches (529 x 562 x 522 mm). It includes features such as a rubber surround driver cone, a low pass filter adjustable from 40 to 180 Hz, and a fixed high pass filter at 80 Hz.
