The Bowers & Wilkins 606 is the largest standmount/bookshelf speaker in the 600 Series, delivering refined and room-filling sound with power from a compact design. It features B&W's award-winning Continuum cone technology, developed over eight years and first used in their flagship 800 Series Diamond models, providing a pure and precise soundscape. The 606 has a 2-way vented-box system with a 1" Decoupled Double Dome aluminum tweeter and a 6.5" Continuum cone bass/midrange driver. The cabinet is bass-reflex with a rear-firing Flowport, finished in MDF with a vinyl wrap available in matte black or white. The speaker includes acoustically transparent, removable magnetic grilles and a 2-piece foam port plug to adjust low-frequency performance. It supports bi-amping or bi-wiring via dual binding post terminals. The design is modern and minimalist, with grille pegs replaced by magnets and the port moved to the rear for a premium aesthetic. Recommended amplifier power is 30-120 watts into 8 ohms, with a sensitivity of 88 dB and frequency response of 52 Hz to 28 kHz ±3 dB. The 606 weighs about 15.2 lbs (6.9 kg) and measures approximately 7.5" W x 13.5" H x 12.8" D (cabinet only). It comes with a 5-year warranty and includes two speakers, grilles, foam port plugs, rubber feet, jumper straps, and manuals.
