The Bottlehead Quickie is a battery-powered tube preamplifier kit featuring one directly heated 3S4 pentode tube per channel wired as a triode. The Quickie is known for its smooth, natural tone and good imaging, with some microphonics issues that can be mitigated by tube swapping or adding a constant current source (PJCCS).
