The Border Patrol P20 is a push-pull tube power amplifier featuring two 300B output triodes per channel delivering 20 watts per channel. It uses inter-stage transformers for phase splitting, avoiding active phase splitters to achieve purer sound with better resolution and leading edge definition. The amplifier is a dual mono design with two large external power supply units (PSUs), each containing three independent tube-rectified, choke input filter high voltage supplies and filament supplies, providing superior voltage regulation and noise rejection. This design results in exceptional bass performance, dynamics, and a super quiet black background.
