The BMC Audio DAC1 PRE (HR) is a digital-to-analog converter combined with a preamplifier, designed to deliver outstanding sound quality by integrating advanced proprietary BMC technologies such as DIGM (Discrete Intelligent Gain Management), CI (Current Injection), LEF (Load Effect Free), and SUPERLINK. It features a jitter-free SUPERLINK connection that transmits master clock and audio data directly from the transport, avoiding typical signal degradation. The DAC supports lossless volume control by adjusting the power amplifier's gain, making it ideal for high-end digital source systems. The analogue section is global-feedback-free, with a CI input for optimal DAC chip interfacing and a LEF output driver that provides a stable, high-quality output signal without sound degradation. The unit includes 2 RCA and 1 balanced XLR analogue inputs, 4 digital inputs (including SPDIF, USB HiRes asynchronous up to 192kHz/24-bit), and balanced XLR & RCA outputs for connection to power amplifiers, active speakers, or subwoofers. It supports high-resolution USB audio playback and offers a vibrant, richly detailed sound reproduction with natural spatial imaging. Volume can be controlled via variable output or lossless DIGM in combination with compatible BMC power amplifiers.
