About the BDCD1.1
The BMC BDCD1.1 is a belt drive CD player and transport designed by BMC Audio, known for its exceptional build quality and sound performance. It features a belt drive mechanism with a heavy clamp acting as a flywheel for stable and smooth speed adjustments, contributing to its superior sound quality. The player offers multiple digital outputs including Coaxial RCA, BNC, Toslink S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and a proprietary Superlink connection using four BNC cables for separate data and clock signals, minimizing timing errors. An optional analog output stage is available, allowing the BDCD1.1 to function as a standalone CD player, or it can be used purely as a transport when paired with a separate DAC such as the BMC DAC1 Pre (HR). The DAC1 Pre uses BurrBrown PCM1792 chips in a fully balanced configuration and supports various digital filters and oversampling frequencies. The BDCD1.1 is designed to work optimally within a BMC system but can also be integrated into other high-end setups. It includes a remote control and has a silver finish with dimensions of 435 mm width, 99 mm height, and 350 mm depth, weighing 9 kg. The price with the analog output stage is approximately making it competitive in its class.
