About the NODE 2i

The NODE 2i is a compact, high‑performance wireless music streamer that brings high‑resolution network and internet streaming to any existing stereo amplifier, AV receiver, or powered speakers. It supports 16‑ to 24‑bit audio with sampling rates from 32 kHz up to 192 kHz and plays a wide range of formats including MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG, WMA‑L, ALAC, OPUS plus hi‑res formats FLAC, MQA, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, and WMA‑Lossless, but offers no native DSD support. Its internal 32‑bit/192 kHz DAC, derived from Lenbrook/NAD's platform for low‑jitter, high‑precision playback, features a Texas Instruments PCM5242 implementation in a differential design, with full MQA unfolding and rendering and performance specs of SNR 110 dBA and THD+N 0.005%. Wireless connectivity includes dual‑band Wi‑Fi (802.11ac) and two‑way Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD for both receive and transmit modes. Physical connections include Gigabit Ethernet, USB Type‑A for FAT32/NTFS storage, a combo mini‑optical/3.5 mm analog input, stereo RCA analog outputs with fixed‑level option, coaxial and optical digital outputs, mono subwoofer out, and a front‑panel 3.5 mm headphone jack, plus 12 V trigger. Controlled via the BluOS app, it supports multi‑room audio, major streaming services, Apple AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa integration, optional RC1 IR remote, and operation within the BluOS multi‑room ecosystem. The product continues to receive BluOS firmware updates, with BluOS 4.14.12 released March 10, 2026.
