About the BJC LC-1

The LC-1 is Blue Jeans Cable's proprietary unbalanced analog audio interconnect, built in Seattle, USA using custom cable stock manufactured by Belden. It uses a solid 25 AWG bare copper center conductor, a nitrogen-injected low-density (foamed) polyethylene dielectric, and a double-braid bare copper shield designed for very high shield effectiveness at analog audio frequencies and low capacitance (approximately 12 pF/ft). The cable is jacketed in a soft, high-flex PVC outer sheath, which keeps it highly flexible and easy to route despite its relatively large overall diameter. LC-1 is terminated with Blue Jeans Cable's Taversoe 7 RCA connectors, a three-piece crimp design with a leaf-spring outer contact for secure but not overly tight jack engagement; all jack contact surfaces, including the center pin and ground spring, are gold-plated to resist corrosion and provide long-term reliability. The LC-1 is offered in a range of pre-made lengths for stereo interconnect and subwoofer use, with standard jacket colors including black and white, and is rated for in-wall installation under typical NEC jurisdictions.
