The Blue Circle Audio PLC Thingee FX-2 X0e (often written FX-2 6 X0e) is a six-outlet, non-current-limiting power-line conditioner built into a short length of 4" round ABS pipe sealed with silicone end caps for structural damping and vibration control. It uses a network of parallel capacitors of varying values to address AC line noise across a broad frequency range, and incorporates Blue Circle's proprietary X0e low-frequency filter module to specifically target low-frequency noise from household devices such as appliances and switch-mode power supplies. All internal wiring uses double runs of 14 AWG solid copper between the IEC power inlet, filter networks, and three industrial-grade duplex outlets, resulting in very low series resistance and no practical current limiting even for high-draw power amplifiers. The six outlets are not isolated from each other, but the conditioner is designed to act as a "black hole" for noise on the line and from connected components. One end of the ABS cylinder carries four outlets, the other end two outlets plus the IEC inlet, with no switches, indicators, or user controls, making it a strictly set-and-forget device focused on performance rather than cosmetics. The FX-2 X0e is typically supplied with a standard detachable power cord via the IEC inlet; upgrade cords and optional plug-in surge/transient protection modules are available from Blue Circle and dealers.
