About the Li'l 703
The Blue Circle Audio Li'l 703 is a high-performance phono stage designed by Gilbert Yeung as a smaller alternative to the BC703. Measuring 8" x 8" x 3" and weighing 4.5 pounds, it maintains the same technical specifications and internal settings as the larger BC703 but on a scaled-down circuit board. It is a moving-coil-only design with optional moving-magnet stage available. The MC gain is user adjustable internally with settings of 61dB, 67dB, 75dB, 81dB, or 87dB, accommodating cartridges with very low output. Load settings can be selected among 100, 220, 470, or 1000 ohms, or custom factory settings. Frequency response is 10Hz to 100kHz ±0.1 dB with rumble filter off, and the rumble filter cutoff is at 18Hz. The unit features gold-plated RCA inputs and outputs, including MC and optional MM inputs, and connects to an external power supply via XLR. Its simple, elegant design includes only the Blue Circle logo on the front panel. The Li'l703 delivers neutral, high-fidelity sound comparable to larger, more expensive phono stages, making it ideal for audiophiles seeking high performance in a compact form factor.
