The Blue Circle BC62 is Blue Circle's premier 10 AWG power cord, intended for high current-draw components such as power amplifiers. The standard length is 6 feet (1.83 m). It uses four 10-gauge stranded ultra-pure copper conductors in a proprietary double reverse twist braid geometry that Blue Circle claims helps reject radio-frequency interference both generated in the cord and already present on the AC line. The BC62 is unshielded, relying on this braiding for noise reduction, which also makes the cable very flexible and easy to route in tight spaces or around corners. It is jacketed in a soft nylon sleeving that gives a more luxurious feel than typical polyester coverings. The wall plug is a Hubbell hospital-grade connector, providing secure, reliable contact. Reviewers note that in use the BC62 reduces noise, improves bass and detail, and brings greater openness and clarity in the upper frequencies, with a slightly fuller, smoother sound compared to standard stock cords, while remaining neutral-sounding enough to work well with a wide range of components.
