BDR Pyramid Cones MIII (also referred to as MK3) are part of the Black Diamond Racing lineup, serving as flexible, basic building blocks in vibration control systems for HiFi audio equipment. They are typically the initial interface between audio components and their support surfaces, significantly enhancing performance by reducing unwanted vibrations. The MK3 version offers a slightly warmer tonal balance with extra emphasis on the bottom end, making it suitable for solid state or digital equipment. The cones are 1 inch high by 1.618 inches wide, with a rounded tip and 1/4"-20 threaded base for secure placement. They can be used alone or mixed with the MK4 version to tailor sound characteristics. Proper placement involves orienting the cone tip towards the resonant surface for optimal effect.
