About the MF100

The BK Electronics MF100 is a MOSFET amplifier module delivering 115 watts RMS into 4 ohms and 105 watts RMS into 8 ohms. It features advanced MOSFET design with a power bandwidth of 1Hz to 100kHz (standard version) or 1Hz to 50kHz (PEC version). The amplifier is built with a toroidal mains transformer power supply, glass fibre printed circuit boards, and a solid aluminum chassis with extensive heatsinking for durability and reliability. It includes an onboard low voltage supply and drive circuit for compatible LED VU meters. The MF100 is hand-built in the UK and has been widely used in discos, nightclubs, and Hi-Fi systems for over 40 years, known for being bombproof and repairable to component level. It is also used in scientific applications such as driving electromagnets and servos. The module comes in three versions: Standard (500mV input sensitivity, 100kHz bandwidth), PEC (775mV input sensitivity, 50kHz bandwidth), and DC Coupled (775mV input sensitivity, 50kHz bandwidth). The input sensitivity can be adjusted by changing a resistor. The product is discontinued but remains popular for its sound quality and ruggedness.
