About the T3B
The BEZ Model T3B is a handbuilt Class-A single-ended triode stereo power amplifier designed by Edmund Lam of Hong Kong. It features zero negative feedback and uses a pair of heavy-duty single-ended Ei output transformers made with Z10/0.35mm thick high-grade silicon/steel plates and wound with 4N oxygen-free copper wire. The power supply includes a heavy-duty Ei transformer and filter choke, 1% red metal film resistors, paper-in-oil AC coupling capacitors, and point-to-point wiring. The amplifier is equipped with a heavy-duty 3-foot SignalCable MagicPower AC cord and rests on four solid brass Dayton Audio isolation cones. It delivers 8 watts per channel at 8 and 4 ohms in pure Class-A operation, with a frequency response of 20Hz to 30kHz, signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB, and total harmonic distortion of 1% at 10W/1kHz. Input impedance is 500k ohms with input sensitivity of 0.5-1V RMS. The tube complement includes a matched pair of new 2004 Shuguang 300BC graphite anode power output tubes, NOS 1940s Delco (RCA) 6J7GT driver tubes, and a NOS 1951 Sylvania 5U4G rectifier tube. The T3B model has been discontinued and succeeded by the T3B-3 model. It is noted for its high-quality build and classic tube sound character suitable for audiophiles seeking a pure Class-A single-ended triode amplifier experience.
