About the Sindre
The Bergmann Sindre is a premium three-box integrated turntable system consisting of the deck and arm, an external speed controller/power supply, and an air pump unit. It features a 4 kg acrylic top platter supported by a 3.2 kg aluminum sub-platter, both mounted on an air bearing that creates a frictionless film for smooth rotation. The plinth is a massive, three-layer high-density particleboard resting on three adjustable metal cones for outstanding vibration isolation. The tonearm is a linear tracking air-bearing design with a carbon fiber arm tube and hard aluminum alloy sliding pipe, allowing precise tracking with minimal resonance. The Sindre supports 33 1/3 and 45 RPM speeds with fine speed adjustments via trim pots on the external power supply. It can be upgraded to battery power. The turntable weighs 23 kg and measures 475 x 500 x 210 mm (D x W x H). It uses high-quality WBT RCA connectors and a Lemo power inlet. Sonically, it is praised for superlative tonal neutrality, exceptional clarity, precise imaging, deep and well-articulated bass, and a very quiet background. The Sindre excels in tracking difficult LPs cleanly and delivers a vibrant, natural sound with excellent high-frequency detail and midrange presence. It is often paired with cartridges like the Ortofon Windfeld or Air Tight PC-1 for optimal performance.
