The Benz Micro MC20E2L is a low-output moving coil (MC) phono cartridge that delivers a full palette of music with emotion and spirit. It features an aluminum alloy cantilever and an elliptical diamond stylus with a tip radius of 0.3 x 0.7 mil. The cartridge weighs 4 grams and has an output voltage of 0.5 mV at 3.54 cm/sec. It offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, channel separation better than 30 dB at 1 kHz, and channel balance better than 1 dB. Recommended tracking force is 2.0 grams, with a tracking force range of 2.0 to 2.5 grams. The MC20E2L is noted for its smooth, tuneful, and dramatic sound, though it has a slight limitation in extreme bass depth. It was awarded a Class C phono cartridge by Stereophile in 2007 and was recommended as a component that year. The cartridge is discontinued and no longer manufactured.
