About the TX-103
The Bent Audio Stevens & Billington TX-103 is a moving coil step-up transformer featuring copper-wound transformers with a split, four-section primary winding allowing gain ratios of 1:5 (14dB), 1:10 (20dB), and 1:20 (26dB). It offers variable resistive loads of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 80k ohms, plus a custom setting, adjustable via high-quality rotary switches. The TX-103 is praised for its immediacy, delicacy, transparency, purity, speed, intelligibility, and focus, delivering incredible detail and dynamic range without frequency roll-off or tonal coloration. It is designed to be placed behind the turntable to boost the tiny signal immediately before the phono cable.
