About the ADC1
The Benchmark ADC1 USB is a reference-quality 2-channel analog-to-digital converter designed for demanding professional and high-end audio applications. It supports 24-bit conversion at sample rates up to 192 kHz on its main outputs, and implements Benchmark's UltraLock jitter-immune clock system for high stability and low distortion. The unit is built in a compact half-rack, 1U chassis. It provides balanced XLR analog inputs, front-panel fixed (0, 10, 20 dB) or variable gain controls, and comprehensive 9-segment LED metering. It offers five simultaneous digital outputs: AES/EBU on XLR, two coaxial/BNC outputs, optical (TosLink), plus a USB audio interface (main outputs up to 192kHz/24-bit; USB output limited to 24-bit/96kHz). Commonly used for high-quality archiving of analog sources such as vinyl and for mastering-grade recording chains. Discontinued by Benchmark Media Systems.
