About the 8402
Belden 8402 is a vintage-style, high-quality Hi-Fi interconnect cable popular in audiophile and professional audio communities. It features 20 AWG stranded high-conductivity tinned copper conductors with EPDM rubber insulation, rayon braid, and a tinned copper braid shield with 85% coverage. The cable jacket is made of brown CSPE (Chlorosulphonated Polyethylene). Known for its low impedance and clear signal transmission, it is used in RCA to male XLR interconnects with gold-plated Switchcraft 3502 RCA and Neutrik NC3MXXB male XLR connectors, offering durability and excellent sound quality with a neutral to warm tonal signature and good tonal accuracy.
