About the Black-Control

The Bel Canto Black Control DAC comprises two solid billet aluminum chassis: the ASC2 controller handling input switching, volume control, custom tone controls, phono stage, display, and user interface, and a Dual Mono DAC isolated electrically through fiber optics for pure analog output to drive any amplifier. It features ultra-low noise master clocks below 40 femtoseconds, 64-bit DSP for precision filtering and EQ, asynchronous re-clocking of all inputs, high-performance MM/MC phono stage, and support for high-resolution formats including MQA, DSD, and Roon. Controls include a top-mounted rotating wheel, IR remote, and iOS app. Bass management offers adjustable high/low pass filters (40-120Hz), +/-6dB subwoofer trim, tilt control at 775Hz, and bass EQ +/-3dB in 0.6dB steps below 200Hz. Crafted for minimal jitter, distortion below 0.0005%, and dynamic range up to 130dB, it delivers an authentically dimensional listening experience.
