The Bel Canto C5i Integrated Amplifier combines simplicity and musicality in a compact chassis, controlling all sources with versatility and ease of use. It features the High-Dynamic Resolution (HDR) Core technology, which includes ultra low noise master clocks, asynchronous interfaces, an advanced PCM1792 DAC, and dual-mode low-noise high-efficiency power supplies, ensuring realistic, open, and defined sound. The amplifier delivers 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms using a class-D ICEpower module from Bang & Olufsen, with a low power draw of about 13 watts. It includes a built-in low-impedance, high-output headphone amplifier capable of driving high-quality headphones with clarity and depth. The interface is simple and elegant, with a dual-functioning knob and an 8-character programmable display, plus a 36-button infrared remote. Inputs include 5 digital inputs (2 SPDIF RCA, 2 TOSLINK optical, 1 USB 1.1 supporting 24-bit/96kHz), analog line input, MM phono stage, and line output. The unit uses a 24-bit digital volume control and eliminates the traditional preamplifier stage by driving the amplifier directly from the DAC section. It supports digital playback up to 24/192kHz on SPDIF and optical inputs and 24/96kHz on USB. The C5i also features a home theater bypass mode for integration into multichannel systems and a preamp output for subwoofer or biamping use. The chassis is compact (8.5" x 3.5" x 12" / 216 x 88 x 305 mm), weighs about 13 lbs (6 kg), and is available with silver or black faceplates.
