About the SRC2496
The Behringer SRC2496 Ultramatch Pro is a high-end 24-bit/96 kHz analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converter with sample rate conversion capabilities. It supports conversion of any sample rate between 31 and 100 kHz into standard rates of 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96 kHz. The unit offers flexible format conversion between AES/EBU and S/PDIF (coaxial or optical) and features universal sample rate synchronization via wordclock or digital input. It allows parallel A/D and D/A conversion at identical sample rates and provides simultaneous operation of all three outputs (XLR, RCA, Optical) for splitter functionality. The SRC2496 also includes precise metering for input/output signals and headphone monitoring, direct manipulation of emphasis bits, a high-precision quartz clock generator to remove jitter, and a self-adjusting anti-aliasing filter with a steep edge. It is designed and engineered in Germany and is suitable for studio use to transfer digital signals between devices with different sampling rates, formats, or interfaces while maintaining signal integrity and removing dropouts or jitter.
