About the EP4000
The Behringer EUROPOWER EP4000 is a robust stereo power amplifier designed for medium to large live sound applications such as clubs, mobile PA systems, and houses of worship. It delivers 2,000 watts peak power per channel into 2-ohm loads, 1,400 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and 4,000 watts into 4 ohms in bridge mode, providing powerful, room-filling sound. Featuring Behringer's proprietary Accelerated Transient Response (ATR) technology, it ensures punchy, articulate sound with precise bass, clear mids, and shimmering highs. The amplifier includes adjustable high-pass filters (10Hz–400Hz) to remove unwanted low-frequency rumble, independent limiters per channel for overload protection, and a comprehensive protection system against short circuits, thermal overload, and HF interference. Inputs include balanced XLR and ¼" TRS connectors, with outputs via touch-proof binding posts and professional speaker connectors. The unit is housed in a rugged, impact-resistant 2U steel rackmount chassis with a variable-speed fan cooling system. It features front panel power and gain controls, signal and clip LEDs for monitoring, and supports stereo and bridged mono operation modes. Dimensions are 88 x 483 x 402 mm, weighing approximately 16.6 kg. The EP4000 is stable into 2-ohm loads and designed for reliable, high-performance operation in demanding environments.
