About the Corridor 8172 Audio
Designed by Matthew Weatherly for BDI, the Corridor 8172 Audio Tower is an audiophile's dream combining style and functionality. It features two adjustable compartments with louvered hardwood doors that allow speaker sound and remote signals to pass through unobstructed. The tower has a satin-etched black glass top concealing a power management compartment, hidden wheels, integrated cable management, removable back panels, and quick-release soft-close door hinges. Flow-through ventilation slots in shelves, bottom, and back panels promote airflow to keep electronics cool. The tower is made from stained solid cherry wood and hardwood veneer with a satin sheen polyurethane topcoat, showcasing natural wood grain variations. Dimensions are 44.75"H x 22"W x 22"D, and it weighs 127 lbs. It accommodates multiple AV components, media, and vinyl records, with adjustable shelves supporting up to 50 lbs each and a top shelf capacity of 50 lbs. The reversible remote-friendly louvered doors and concealed power compartment enhance usability and aesthetics. This piece is part of BDI's award-winning Corridor Media Collection, blending modern design with practical storage solutions for home entertainment systems.
