About the MicroMain27 Gen2

The Barefoot Sound MicroMain27 Gen2 is a high-end 3.5-way active studio monitor designed for professional mastering and studio applications. It features five drivers housed in sealed enclosures: two opposing 10-inch Dual-Force™ aluminum cone subwoofers, two 5.25-inch poly/paper cone midbass drivers with advanced neodymium motors, and a 1-inch ring radiator tweeter with a rear waveguide chamber. The system covers a wide frequency range from 30 Hz to 45 kHz with vanishingly low distortion and a maximum SPL of 119 dB (pair). It incorporates advanced DSP crossover technology and powerful Hypex amplifier modules delivering a total of approximately 1250 W per monitor (500 W for subwoofers, 250 W for each midrange driver, and 180-250 W for the tweeter). The monitor includes Barefoot's proprietary MEME™ technology, allowing emulation of classic studio monitors such as the NS10M and mix cubes, providing versatile referencing options. The sealed cabinet with machined aluminum baffle minimizes vibrations and distortion. Connectivity includes analog XLR, AES3 digital input, and USB for MEME control. Dimensions are approximately 20.5 x 10.5 x 17.4 inches, and each monitor weighs about 31 kg (68 lbs).
