About the BP-1

The Balanced Power Technologies BP-1 is one of BPT's smaller balanced AC line conditioners, using a custom isolation transformer to deliver balanced 120V AC (approximately +60V to ground and -60V to ground) to connected audio/video components. It is part of BPT's Ultra Isolator family, based on toroidal isolation transformers wired for symmetrical/balanced power to reduce common-mode noise and ground-related hum. The BP-1 is designed primarily for source components and low-to-moderate current loads rather than large power amplifiers, with a robust steel chassis, quality duplex receptacles, and an IEC power inlet. It focuses on noise reduction and ground/noise isolation rather than voltage regulation or surge protection.
