About the VK-P5
The Balanced Audio Technology VK-P5 is a fully balanced, vacuum-tube phono preamplifier for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. It provides selectable gain, cartridge loading from 100 ohms to 47 kilohms, and selectable capacitance from 100 pF to 1,000 pF. The circuit uses eight 6922 tubes and two 6SN7 tubes, with both balanced and single-ended operation. Its substantial chassis measures 19 inches wide, 5.5 inches high, and 14 inches deep, and weighs approximately 35 pounds unpacked.
