About the VK-56

The Balanced Audio Technology VK-56 is a meticulously designed vacuum-tube power amplifier featuring a fully balanced, all-triode topology and an intelligent automatic bias system that adjusts for line voltage changes and tube aging. It uses the high-current dual-triode 6C33C-B tubes, the same as BAT's flagship REX II amplifier, delivering 55 watts per channel in stereo mode and 110 watts when bridged for mono operation. The amplifier is compact and easy to use, with a chassis smaller than previous BAT tube amplifiers and available in black or silver finishes. It offers a unique combination of midrange clarity, power, and dynamics, making it suitable for driving difficult low-impedance speaker loads. The VK-56 can be upgraded to the VK-56SE version, which includes enhanced components and protection circuitry.
