The Balanced Audio Technology VK-53SE is a premium line stage preamplifier designed to deliver exceptional audio quality. It features a transformer-coupled, high-current, single gain-stage topology, which enhances its performance by replacing traditional output capacitors with custom-designed amorphous core output transformers. These transformers are encapsulated within mu-metal shields to ensure signal purity and noise isolation. The VK-53SE uses eight Sovtek 6H30 SuperTube preamp tubes and is fully balanced with zero feedback, offering a frequency range of 2Hz-200kHz and a maximum gain of 18dB. It includes five balanced inputs and two pairs of balanced outputs, along with a dedicated tape output. The preamplifier is designed to provide greater dynamics, transparency, and a coherent portrayal of music. It weighs 20.4 kg and measures 483 x 146 x 394 mm.
