The BAT VK-P12 is a high-end phono preamplifier designed to optimize the playback of vinyl records. It features an all-tube, zero-feedback design, which ensures a pure and uncolored sound. The preamp is fully balanced from input to output, providing the best possible performance when used with a balanced cartridge configuration. It includes second-generation step-up transformers that significantly improve the signal-to-noise ratio, making it suitable for low-output moving-coil cartridges. The VK-P12 also boasts a unique Flying RIAA network, which is completely passive and offers improved common mode noise rejection, ensuring accurate RIAA equalization with minimal error. The device is equipped with a Six-Pak of custom oil-filled capacitors in the output stage and uses high-quality components throughout. It supports extensive cartridge loading options, allowing users to customize the setup for their specific cartridges.
