About the K-3x

The Ayre Acoustics K-3x is a discontinued high-end analog control amplifier/line-stage preamplifier, derived from Ayre’s K-3 platform. It uses an all-discrete, all-FET, fully balanced, zero-global-feedback circuit architecture and a separate outboard power supply. The optional P-5x phono module provides a fully balanced MM/MC phono stage with passive, zero-feedback RIAA equalization. The K-3x provides balanced and single-ended line inputs, balanced and single-ended main outputs, and a tape loop; it has no digital inputs, DAC, wireless, or streaming functions.
