About the Spirit V

The Ayon Audio Spirit V is a high-power, pure Class-A tube stereo integrated amplifier that can also be used as a power amplifier. It uses a push-pull KT150 or KT170 output stage and allows the listener to switch between triode and pentode operation. The design features zero negative feedback, an Alps volume potentiometer, automatic bias adjustment and tube-protection circuitry, a soft-start sequence, 4-ohm and 8-ohm speaker taps, and a remote control. The current manufacturer information lists the Spirit V as an Ayon product, so it should not be treated as discontinued. Specifications vary slightly by tube version and production revision: KT150 versions are generally rated at 65 W per channel in pentode mode and 40 W per channel in triode mode, while KT170 versions may be rated at approximately 70 W and 45 W, respectively.
