The Ayon Audio CD-07 is a high-end top-loading CD player featuring a Class A triode vacuum tube output stage with two 5687 tubes. It uses a Burr Brown DAC with asynchronous upsampling to 192kHz/24-bit, delivering exquisite musicality with transparency, dynamic range, and harmonic richness. The player includes separate voltage regulators, a warm-up function to extend tube life, and a modified suspension system to isolate the CD transport from vibrations. It offers balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) analog outputs with selectable output levels (2V or 4V), digital inputs including USB (24/192 asynchronous), and coaxial digital output. The chassis is made of thick machined aluminum with anti-vibration feet and a magnetic CD clamp system. The CD-07 is known for its smooth, analog-like sound with a rich bass and natural soundstage. Dimensions are approximately 460 x 320 x 110 mm, and it weighs about 10-11 kg. It comes with a remote control and features a noiseless R-core power transformer and AC phase control indicator. The unit was produced around 2010-2016 and is highly regarded for its build quality and sonic performance.
